Week 11: Straw in the Wind

This week, I spent most of my time working in one of my secondary roles as a loader and gaffer on Straw in the Wind. This was an exciting shoot with a very talented crew and it was great to be a part of and watch the story come together. After the shoot with the MfA students (where I got a few pieces of advice from David Byrne), I felt well prepared and confident in my role as a loader. I also spent some of my time doing gaffer tasks and found I had learned a lot since I had last worked in this role (over a year ago), particularly through Andrew’s lighting exercises and the Wandering DP youtube channel.
